Located at 245 Durham Street in beautiful McMinnville, Tennessee, Smooth Rapids is right in the heart of the volunteer state. We’re within walking distance from downtown McMinnville yet offer a secluded feel. We’re also just minutes away from key local attractions such as the Cumberland Caverns, Rock Island State Park, and ISHA. Smooth Rapids was formed out of a love for lazy river floats. We have been in business since 2012 and we are open all year round. We have become a popular destination for many travelers from all over the U.S and the local rivers here in McMinnville are perfect for beginners and kids!
We can be easily reached (1hr – 2hr drive) from three major Tennessee cities: Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be ready to receive you with open arms whether your visit is for kayaking, camping, or eating – or perhaps all three!
